Here鈥檚 what to expect from NSO.
Mandatory for students. Optional for guests.
All first-time freshmen are required to by June 10. Use your WVU Portal login info to access the modules.
You need to complete these modules before you can meet with your adviser and get your schedule set. After you finish the modules, you'll get an email within a few days describing your next steps (check spam too, just in case).
Your guest may view the online program by using the guest login option.
Mandatory for students.
Say cheese and show us your best smile! After registering for NSO, review the Mountaineer Card (WVU student ID) photo and before coming to campus. This is required to be completed before moving in or coming to campus in the fall.
Mandatory for students.
Students will not be able to meet with an adviser without first completing the online modules.
During your virtual advising appointment, you鈥檒l meet one-on-one with a professional adviser and finalize your first semester class schedule. Before the meeting, you should review your college or school鈥檚 NSO information in the modules. Honors students should also review the Honors NSO page.
If you have not taken ALEKS at this point, you should absolutely do so before meeting with your adviser.

Your in-person NSO program is your official introduction to campus. You'll get answers to your questions, explore campus and learn about student life from those who're already living it.
